Sunflower 1 is a bold and immersive acrylic painting inspired by my visit to a vast sunflower garden in Kishoreganj, Bangladesh. Surrounded by golden blooms, I was struck by their quiet strength and natural beauty—each one reaching toward the light with resilience and grace. That powerful experience stayed with me and inspired this painting.
I used a warm, vivid palette of yellows, greens, and earthy tones to capture not only the visual beauty of the scene but also the emotion it evoked in me. The large 60 x 60-inch canvas invites viewers into an intimate and reflective space, encouraging a sense of connection to nature and place.
This painting was exhibited and sold during my solo exhibition at Zainul Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Sunflower 1 remains a personal tribute to the inspiring landscapes of Bangladesh and the emotional depth they hold.
