Lithography, as an intricate and technically demanding medium, requires both discipline and conceptual depth. In this work, Faim deliberately embraces the challenges of lithography, transforming its complexity into an opportunity for layered artistic inquiry. His practice, though rooted in painting, finds renewed vitality through this printmaking process, which itself becomes a metaphor for resistance, adaptation, and transcendence.
The visual language of the piece unfolds through an interplay of symbols: mathematical equations scattered across the surface evoke the human pursuit of logic, order, and resolution, while the astrological wheel introduces a parallel cosmology of chance, destiny, and uncertainty. Together, they gesture toward the tension between rational knowledge and metaphysical belief—between what can be solved and what must be endured.

At the centre, the broken bottle fragment embodies fragility and rupture, a poetic reminder of the vulnerability of existence. In contrast, the blossoming flower signifies resilience, renewal, and the persistence of life. The chessboard ground becomes a metaphorical stage for strategy and survival, where each move reflects the precarious balance between failure and endurance.
Through this layered composition, Faim articulates a curatorial narrative that is both philosophical and emotional: life as an unresolved equation, a battlefield of ruptures and continuities, yet also a space for hope and regeneration. The work compels us to question whether human existence is merely a calculation, or an endless search for meaning beyond numbers and symbols.
It is this capacity to merge technical mastery with profound metaphorical resonance that makes Faim’s lithograph not only an outstanding achievement but also a deeply moving philosophical statement. Awarding this work is thus not only a recognition of artistic excellence but also an affirmation of the courage to confront life’s unresolved complexities through art.
